The Friends of The Hadleigh Training Centre was set up as a fund raising charity to assist the management of the centre. The main aim is to provide amenities for the centre, which cannot be provided for within the Training Centre budget. It consists of a large group of people of people who elect a committee to lead the group and is a resource for the centre as well as keeping a watching brief. It enhances the good PR for the Centre and is a valuable tool for recruiting volunteers for the centre.
Its social role is connected to its fund raising function and involves Quizzes, Sales, Sponsored functions, Auctions, Concerts as well as Charity Meals.
Membership is open to anybody interested in supporting the Centre and currently has an annual membership fee of £10 per person or £15 for couples.
An “action group” manages the affairs of the group comprised of officers of the group, a Centre Management representative, Trainee representative and a group of members co-opted as necessary. The action group meet at least 6 times per year. Minutes of all group meetings are kept by the secretary and are distributed to all members.
The group was formed in November 2004 and is now in its third year. Anyone wishing to join the group and assist in its work as well as enjoying the fellowship offered in its social functions should ask for a membership form in the Tea-Rooms or print and complete the PDF document below and send to:
