Investor in People Award

The Centre has recently achieved (March 2005) the Investor in People Award .The assessment panel agreed that the management had strong clear visions and aims for the Centre and extremely strong and positive culture ethos in place, underpinning the commitment and principles of Investors in People.

Southend District Business Awards

The Salvation Army Hadleigh Training Centre provides a valuable service to a host of people wanting to learn new skills. In recognition of this we have won a business award for staff training and development.
On 22nd October four of our staff members attended a black tie presentation dinner and dance at the Cliffs Pavilion Southend to accept the prize.
We were also runner up in the community category.
Through these awards the centre hopes to gain further recognition within the business world.

On the 24th September the Tea-rooms were runner up for the 'Giving back' award for social enterprise, awarded by Business link for Essex.

Farmers' Market

Hadleigh Farmers' Market is held every second Wednesday of the month from 12 noon onwards on the site of the Training Centre.
We have a large selection of stalls selling local produce, including our own deliciously renowned home farm beef that is in the process of organic conversion.

Hadleigh Training Centre joins the National Social Enterprise Visit Programme

Hadleigh Training Centre has become a NEW SOCIAL ENTERPRISE HOST in the area.The Centre is one of only two social enterprises based in the East of England to feature in this National programme.
The Training Centre have a successful Tea Room overlooking the estuary and offer training in seven vocational areas, helping people with special training needs to develop technical and social skills.
They will be hosting their first visit on Friday 24th September, the visit will be looking at the use of Key Performance Indicators, Partnership Working and Exploring New Markets.

Places normally cost just £50 plus VAT. However Business Link for Essex (BL4E) will be fully subsidising this first visit as part of its 'Essex in Boom' celebration.
