The Employment Development department works with trainees that are referred through Social Services, Jobcentre Plus, and Private funding equating to some 100 trainees.

This will include initial interview, negotiating start dates, funding, contract lengths and contract extensions.

  • SAHTC (if we feel it appropriate.)

Employment Development is responsible for Organising Timetables for all 89 trainees (which includes Employment Services). This includes a waiting list if a department is full.

The department is also responsible for supporting trainees in:

  • Paid Work
  • Work Experience

We also offer general work preparation advice and coaching on issues such as self confidence, assertiveness, literacy and numeracy in order to offer a complete work preparation package.

Continuing with an open door policy for any issues arising within the centre or at home, these continue to change on a daily basis, this has included but is not limited to financial support, transport, problems at home, employment problems, dietary problems and health problems.
