The Horticulture Department grows all produce to organic standards and has achieved full organic status and certification from the OFG (Organic Farmers snd Growers). Produce is sold at the Tea Rooms and at our onsite Farmers Market held on the second Wednesday of every month. The produce, when available, is also used for roast dinners sold at the Tea Rooms.
Produce available in 2007 will include the following:
Fresh Vegetables :-
Carrots, Courgettes, Beetroot, Brussel Sprouts, Leeks, Marrow, Runner Beans, French Beans, Spinach, Swede, Tomatoes
Seasonal Fruits :-
Apples, Blackcurrents, Blackberries, Cherries, Gooseberries, Greengages, Pears, Rasberries, Rhubarb, Strawberries
Herbs :-
Basil, Mint, Chives
Cut Flowers :-
Carnations, Dahlias
Receipe leaflets are available with selected produce.
Home grown produce is only available during the season in which it is harvested.
